Thecshdocumentation in section 1 of the manual provides a full description of all features of the shell and is the definitive reference for questions about the shell. Many words in this document are shown initalics. These are important words; names of commands, and words which have special meaning in discussing the shell andUNIX. Many of the words are defined in. tcsh is an enhanced but completely compatible version of the Berkeley UNIX C shell, csh(1).It is a command language interpreter usable both as an interactive login shell and a shell script command processor. It includes a command-line editor (see The command-line editor), programmable word completion (see Completion and listing), spelling correction (see Spelling correction), a history.
The C shell reads www.doorway.ru file after it has read www.doorway.ru file. This file is read once only for login shells. This file should be used to set up terminal settings, for example, backspace, suspend, and interrupt characters. www.doorway.ru file contains commands that are run when the user logs out of the system. C shell users have a very important tool to save those extraneous seconds: aliases. There are several alternative techniques to save keystrokes. In the last two columns I discussed the history function in detail. You can also create shell scripts. However, shell scripts run in a new shell process.
